 I found it easy to find verbs and Nouns.

I found it hard to draw.

I really enjoyed colouring .

Next time I need to know how to draw and colour in properly.

Public v Private info

We are learning about our digital footprint we talked about private and public information.

I learned not to put private information on the Internet.

I already knew not to put my address on the internet.

Sir Peter Blake

Last term Blake NZ visited our school. We learned about Marine Reserves. We were able to use VR sets to explore the oceans. I found it easy to learn about the kina barrens because the VR sets made it interesting and you could hear the kina crackling when they were eating the seaweed.

Clickety--Clack Cicada

We have been learning about language features during Literacy. The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding poems. 

Some of the features we identified in the poems are metaphors, verbs, onomatopoeia, and adjectives. 

This week we read Clickety-Clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

I found it easy to identify some of the language features such as metaphors.

I found it hard to locate the nouns because it is an area I think I need to work on more.

I really enjoyed learning about metaphors because they make the story more interesting and help to create an image in our mind about what the author is trying to tell us.

Next time I need to work on discussing the poem more and sharing my ideas.

The LoAVES

I found it easy to do writing because I sounded it out.

I found it hard to colour in because i don´t like colouring in.

I really enjoyed nothing because i don´t like any of it.

Next time I need to enjoy everything.

Chinese Zodiac

 

We were learning about the Chinese zodiac.

I found it easy to copy stuff.

I found it hard to do the writing.

I really enjoyed creating the dragons using google images.

Next time I need to try making my own dragons.
